Another week gone and by! So yesterday was awesome because Junior blessed the sacrament!!! He did so good! I was so proud of him! And then it was the primary program, which was soooo cute! Little Latino children are the cutest. It brought tears to my eyes as I saw the Reyes kids up there singing their hearts out to all the primary songs.. Very proud moment!
We had a lesson with our investigator this week, which went really well. We talked about the Book of Mormon and we read 3 Nefi 11. We told her to just read verses 1 - 15, but she read almost the whole thing! She was loving it! She kept pausing and saying "wooow" and that she had goosebumps. It was definitely a testimony builder to me of how powerful the Book of Mormon is. I invite you all to read 3 Nephi 11, because it is amazing doctrine and the spirit is always so strong!
So I just wanna share a story real quick about Hermana Vera and Hermana Padron. They both grew up together in Toronto, but a long time ago, something happened and they had a falling out, so they weren't the best of friends. They both got called to this mission, and both were serving in the same ward, so saw each other ALL the time. At first you could tell that they did not want to see each other.. haha. They were content to just talk to other people. But one day Hermana Padron was sick, and we were all at their house studying. And out of nowhere, Hermana Vera says she wants to make her some weird latino drink so that she can get healed. So she makes it and gives it to her and that's that. But ever since that... they have been BEST FRIENDS. I watched this whole thing happen over the past couple weeks, and it really was a huge lesson that I learned. That no matter what has happened between you and someone, always always choose to serve them and to love them. All it took was for them to not be prideful, forget about the past, and choose to love. And that's what they both did! And everything changed and they were both so happy!! It seriously was the coolest thing ever. So if you ever feel like you don't love someone, choose to forget about it, and serve them! That's what the Savior would do.
Hope you all have a good week! Saludos from Canada!
